Migration Threads

Inspired by my dear friend's migration story and family history in Canada as a fifth-generation Chinese Canadian with matriarchal ancestors from Hoisan County, I wanted to portray the legacy of objects and heirlooms that diasphora cherish in their journey of (re-)discovery of belonging in the present. This photo series takes on a narrative approach that weaves lineages in a modern context.
